UI Feature Settings Revert After Saving Account Menu Changes

Original Question or Issue:

In some FileCloud versions, administrators may notice that changes made under Customization → General → UI Features do not persist. After saving changes in the Account Menu section, the previously configured UI Features settings revert to their original values.

Environment:

  • Product - FileCloud Server
  • Version - 23.261
  • Platform - Windows, Linux

Steps to Reproduce:

An administrator experiences the following behavior:

  • Navigate to Admin Portal → Customization → General.
  • Modify one or more settings under UI Features.
  • Click Save.
  • Modify settings under Account Menu.
  • Click Save again.
  • The previously saved UI Features settings are reverted to their original values.

Cause:

The exact root cause was not isolated because the issue could no longer be reproduced after the customer upgraded to a newer FileCloud version.

Resolution or Workaround:

The customer upgraded FileCloud from:

  • 23.261.0.32752
  • to 23.262.0.33902

After the upgrade, the customer confirmed they were no longer able to reproduce the issue, suggesting it may have been resolved in the newer release.
