Sync issues on Desktop MacOS

Original Question or Issue:

When a user adds new files or renames folders within a shared directory, those changes are not reflected for other users who have access to the same folders.


Environment:

  • Product - FileCloud Desktop
  • Version - 23.253
  • Platform - MacOS

Steps to Reproduce:

 


Error or Log Message:

ESClient status is: NOT RUNNING Status code: 0


Defect or Enhancement Number:

 


Cause:

 


Resolution or Workaround:

Run the following command to start the ESClient.

launchctl print system/com.filecloud.macDrive.ESClient

 

Also check that the FileCloud Desktop application has full disk access.

  • Go to Apple Menu > System Settings

  • Scroll down and click on Privacy & Security

  • Select Full Disk Access from the list

  • You might have to click (+) or the Add button to select the FileCloud Desktop from the Applications folder
