Solr crash

Original Question or Issue:

The funcionality Content Search fails. I received an alert email that the SOLR service is not running. If I restart the SOLR service, it works, but it crashes again after some time.

Environment:

  • Product - FileCloud Server
  • Version - Any
  • Platform - Any

Steps to Reproduce:

Thousands of files to index.

Error or Log Message:

Email notification about Solr issues.

Defect or Enhancement Number:

 

Cause:

Solr Heap size memory is too low.

Resolution or Workaround:

Check the Solr console and verify the heap memory size, which is set to 512 MB by default.

Notes:

Monitor the server memory consumption and the index count from the Admin Portal.
