Original Question or Issue:
ServerSync is very slow when syncing/uploading files to FileCloud Online. The sync status continuously shows “Uploading Changes: XXXX / XXXXX” and restarts after completion. Files can take up to 2 hours to appear in FileCloud, while another ServerSync instance works normally with near real-time uploads.
Environment:

- Version - 23.252
- Platform - Windows
Steps to Reproduce:
Error or Log Message:
No explicit error observed.
Behavior noted:
Uploading Changes: XXXX / XXXXXcontinuously increasing- Sync completes and immediately restarts
- Repeated upload cycles without stabilization
Defect or Enhancement Number:
Cause:
This issue is typically caused by one or more of the following:
- Continuous file modifications (e.g., by backup tools, antivirus, or other processes)
- Large number of files leading to prolonged scan and sync cycles
- ServerSync cache/database inconsistency causing repeated reprocessing
- Environmental differences between servers (network, performance, configuration)
- Potential repeated triggering of sync due to metadata or timestamp changes
Resolution or Workaround:

-
Stop ServerSync
- Exit ServerSync from the system tray (taskbar), as shown in the application UI
-
Remove Existing Sync/Cache Data
- Navigate to the ServerSync data/cache directory
- Delete the existing cache/data folder to allow a clean rebuild
