Resolving CLFC-04203 Unauthorized Site Host Error in FileCloud

Original Question or Issue:

I recently renewed our FileCloud license and downloaded the updated license file from the customer portal.

Environment:

  • Product - FileCloud Server
  • Version - 23.253
  • Platform - Any

Steps to Reproduce:

 

Error or Log Message:

2026-03-06 16:10:39.450401 ERROR: [17727810392415] CLFC-04203 Unauthorized Site Host for access: filecloud.tech.com Accepted Host(s): filecloud.tech.com.

Defect or Enhancement Number:

 

Cause:

There's a trailing dot in the <Host> value (e.g., <Host>filecloud.tech.com.</Host>) could indeed be the cause of the "Invalid license host" error, as the host must match the server hostname exactly.

Resolution or Workaround:

  • Move the ticket to FinOps to update the license file
