"Read-Only" Label Appears on Private Shares with View + Download Permissions

Why Private Shares Show "Read-Only" with View + Download Access

Environment:

Cause:

 

Resolution or Workaround:

The **"This folder is read-only"** message is expected behavior.

This message indicates that the recipient does not have permission to **modify**, **upload**, or **delete** content in the shared folder. Although **download** access is allowed, the folder remains non-editable.

As a result, the folder is displayed as **read-only** from the recipient’s perspective.
