Production backup strategy

We want to confirm the best practices for backing up a FileCloud production platform.

Resolution or Workaround:

A production backup strategy should include all the parts of your FileCloud deployment:

• Operating System: Full backup/snapshot of your virtual machine.

• MongoDB: FileCloud Autobackups or MongoDB dumps.

• Storage: Full Backup/snapshot of your local drive, nfs, smb or bucket.

Notes:

The MongoDB dump should always precede the Storage backup to prevent database references to files that were not restored.
