Overlay icons not showing

Original Question or Issue:

Overlay icons are not showing when using FileCloud Sync.

Environment:

Steps to Reproduce:

Install FileCloud Sync on a system where Windows OneDrive is already installed.

Error or Log Message:

FileCloud Sync overlay icons are not showing.

Defect or Enhancement Number:

Cause:

Please note Windows file explorer will only use up to 15 icon overlays, furthermore earlier versions of Windows would allow only top 9 or 10.

Resolution or Workaround:

Uninstall Microsoft OneDrive in order to free up the first 7 windows registry keys. those can be seen in registry path:

Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\ShellIconOverlayIdentifiers
