MS Office online server integration issue

Original Question or Issue:

I have issues integrating FileCloud with my Microsoft Office online server.

Environment:

  • Product - FileCloud Server
  • Version - Any
  • Platform - Any

Steps to Reproduce:

New integration of FileCloud with the on-premises MS Office online server.

Error or Log Message:

Something went wrong and we couldn't load this content.

Defect or Enhancement Number:

 

Cause:

WAF blocking API requests.

Resolution or Workaround:

Bi-directional network communication over port 443 should be allowed between the FileCloud MS Office online server. Sometimes, the network ACL is opened but the WAF is blocking some API calls.

Always ensure that:

1) The FileCloud User Interface page can be loaded from a web browser running on the MS Office online server.

2) The FileCloud application node(s) can load the "discover" page of the MS Office online server.
