Original Question or Issue:

How to prevent External Access users from viewing the Activity panel while keeping the Activity panel available for other users. 

Environment:

  • Product - FileCloud Server
  • Version - Any
  • Platform - Any

Steps to Reproduce:

  • Log in to the FileCloud Admin Portal.
  • Navigate to Settings → Misc → General.
  • Enable Disable right panel for External users.
  • Save the settings.
  • Log in as an External Access user and access a file or folder.

Error or Log Message:

 

Defect or Enhancement Number:

 

Cause:

The right-side panel, including the Activity panel, is available to External Access users when the Disable right panel for External users setting is disabled. 

Resolution or Workaround:

  • Navigate to Settings → Misc → General.
  • Enable Disable right panel for External users.
  • Save the settings.
  • The right-side panel, including the Activity panel, is hidden from External Access users.
