How to ensure PDF files are watermarked during both preview and download?
Environment:
- Product - FileCloud Server
- Version - Any
- Platform - Any
Steps to Reproduce:
- Configure a watermark rule for PDF files.
- Set the watermark mode to Previews only.
- Preview a PDF file.
- Download the PDF file.
- Observe that the preview displays the watermark while the downloaded PDF remains unwatermarked.

Cause:
Earlier FileCloud versions applied watermarking to document previews only. Download watermarking was not available in the watermark rule configuration.
FileCloud 23.262.0 introduced Watermark Mode, providing an option to apply watermarks to both previews and downloads.
Resolution or Workaround:
- Navigate to the Watermark settings.
- Create or edit the required watermark rule.
- Set Watermark Mode to Previews and Downloads.
- Save the watermark rule.
- Verify PDF preview and download behavior.
