Encryption partially active

Original Question or Issue:

After enabling storage encryption, I got a notification saying "Encryption partially active" instead of the usual "Encryption active".

Cause:

Missing file in the storage.

Resolution or Workaround:

Run the following tool to identify any missing files in the managed storage: Storage Scanner Tool for Missing Files | FileCloud Help
If you see missing files, proceed as follows:
- Login to the FileCloud Admin Portal and navigate to the paths mentioned by the storage scanner.
- Try to download the files from the Admin Portal, but this will fail.
- From Windows file explorer, navigate to the physical file paths and check whether they are present or not.
- If present, ensure that the Apache web service user has full control privilege over those files.
- If not present, delete the files from the Admin Portal, then access the Recycle Bin and delete them from there too.
- Retrieve the files from an earlier backup and re-upload them to the same paths via the Admin or User portal.
Afterward, please take a full backup of your VM (OS + DB + physical files) and execute the "Encrypt all" job from the Admin Portal.
