Enabling NTLMv2 protocol in AD

Original Question or Issue:

We enforced the NTLMv2 protocol in AD using GPO, but the FileCloud integration with AD was broken.


Environment:

  • Product - FileCloud Server
  • Version - 23.241
  • Platform - Windows

Steps to Reproduce:

Enable the NTLMv2 protocol.


Error or Log Message:

AD Access failed, Stronger authentication required.


Defect or Enhancement Number:

 


Cause:

Enabling SSL on AD.


Resolution or Workaround:

Please note that the NTLMv2 configuration won't break the AD connection between the FileCloud application and your domain.

Based on the logs, you are also enabling SSL from the AD side, which requires updating your integration in FileCloud:
