One Active Directory User cannot Log into FileCloud

Original Question or Issue:

One AD user is unable to log into the FileCloud Web Portal.  Other AD users can log in without any issues.


Environment:

  • Product - FileCloud Server
  • Version - 23.261
  • Platform - Windows

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Attempt login with the affected user account.
2. Observe login failure for that user only, confirming other AD accounts can log in successfully


Error or Log Message:

User email did not match the AD user email.
Duplicate username exists.


Defect or Enhancement Number:

 


Cause:

The affected user account had an incorrect email address in FileCloud that did not match the AD email address.


Resolution or Workaround:

Correct the user email so it matches the AD email address. After the email typo was fixed, the user was able to log in successfully.


Notes:

- Issue affected only one user.
- AD group login restriction was not enabled.
