Active Directory User Import Window Does Not Open from Users Section After Upgrading to FileCloud Server 23.261
Original Question or Issue:
Users are unable to import users from Active Directory using the "Import Users from Active Directory" option in the Admin Portal. When clicking the Import button, the group selection window does not appear.
Environment:
- Product - FileCloud Server
- Version - 23.261
- Platform - Windows, Linux
Steps to Reproduce:
- Log in to the FileCloud Admin Portal.
- Navigate to the Users section.
- Select Import Users from Active Directory.
- Click the Import button.
- Observe that the group selection popup window does not open.
Error or Log Message:
No specific error message is displayed. The import workflow becomes unresponsive when attempting to launch the group selection dialog.
Defect or Enhancement Number:
FCL-9704
Cause:
A defect affecting the Active Directory import workflow was identified in FileCloud Server version 23.261. The issue specifically impacts importing users from the Users section where the group selection popup fails to launch.
Resolution or Workaround:
Use the following alternative workflow:
- Navigate to the Groups section in the Admin Portal.
- Import the required Active Directory groups directly from the Groups section.
- Users associated with the imported groups will automatically be imported into FileCloud.
Engineering confirmed that a fix for this issue is planned for inclusion in FileCloud Server version 23.262.

- Issue was reproduced during a live troubleshooting session with the customer.
- Importing groups from the Groups section was verified to work successfully.
- Customer logs were requested for additional analysis.
